You do not need an account or an email signup to read the public pages or download the classroom and family companions.
If you ask for book news
The signup form saves your email address, signup date, the page you signed up from and the version of the signup notice. If you choose any reader roles, those are saved too. C. J. uses these details for occasional book news, publication updates and more relevant notes for different readers. Role choices are optional and are not inferred from the page you visit.
To stop receiving book news or ask to correct or delete your signup, email C. J. from the address you used. C. J. may need to verify a request before changing or deleting a record.
If you ask for shop updates
The shop form saves your email address, signup date, the shop page you signed up from and the version of your permission. C. J. uses this separate list for shop-opening and product-availability emails. Signing up does not subscribe you to book news, and book-news subscribers are not automatically added to shop updates.
To stop shop updates or ask to correct or delete your signup, email C. J. from the address you used.
If you request a review copy or reading
The educator form saves your adult name, email, role, request type and date, together with the contact permission you give. School or library name, grade or age group, city or region, approximate group size, preferred dates and time zone are optional. These details help C. J. respond and discuss an appropriate review copy, reading or workshop. Submitting this form does not subscribe you to book news.
Requests are saved for C. J. to review; the form does not guarantee a response date, a free copy or a visit. Use the email link if your request is time-sensitive. If you email directly, your email and whatever you include are handled in C. J.’s email service.
Children’s information
These forms are for adults. Please do not submit children’s names, photographs, contact information or identifiable schoolwork. General observations about a reading session are enough. If you believe a child’s personal information has been submitted, email C. J. so he can review and remove it.
Storage and website operation
Form submissions are stored privately in the website’s hosted database, not displayed on public pages. The site uses OpenAI Sites and its hosting infrastructure, including Cloudflare, to serve pages and handle submissions. Hosting providers may process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs, and may use cookies for security and service operation.
C. J. does not sell form submissions. Information is used to provide the updates or response you requested and to operate the site. Book-news and shop-update records are kept while needed for the updates requested; educator correspondence is kept while needed to handle and follow up on the inquiry. You can request deletion by email.
Website analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages and resources visitors use. Google processes website activity and technical information about your browser or device, and uses cookies for measurement. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and its Analytics privacy information and controls.
Submitting a workshop request or signing up for updates is a separate choice, as described above.
